This is a very rare video documentation of the Koizumi Family Samurai Sword Kata handed down century after century. I learned these forms from Robert A. Hasty a Marine [ and Goju Ryu Black Belt ] stationed in Europe after world war two. These were taught to me in their original traditional form of eight short Kata's. I have documented them for you in their original form and then combined them into one long Kata. Seven of the Kata are with a single blade and the eighth Kata is with a short and a long blade. I have demonstrated them as I learned them [ singularly ] and Spencer Bolejack is demonstrating them as a long and continuous Kata to show you how to modernize these Kata for a more dramatic display.
