The black belt chart begins with “the stick Ju Jitsu, one through fifteen” sequence. It is using the basic one through five lines of attack used universally in all types of real combat. Based on the “Inosanto method”, it blends fifteen different block parries and deflections of the escrima stick arts with basic Ju Jitsu and Nin Jitsu arts, for the purpose of submitting your opponent. What follows then is the use of the same beginning response pattern (one through fifteen) using the knife, single and double pocket (yawara) stick and fifteen common stick disarms. And, of course, stick basics and drills, as well as environmental weapons are included, as is the “stick locking slipping set V”, (standing continuous locks, chokes and pain compliance applications).

These charts will lead you to the ultimate awareness of using environmental weapons. Evolving through bare hand and stick Ju Jitsu, then onto the concept of a third arm (using the stick) principle, you will see how this can also be creatively applied to flexible weapons in your environment, ( such as ropes, electric extension cords, clothing, etc.). Environmental weapons and their creative use are at the height of your “Big Bang” experience when everything falls in place in a creative, intuitive and spontaneous effortless manner.

After first black the traditional martial arts weapons are taught. They can be learned at any time prior to black belt. And it is encouraged to do so long before the black ranks, so they may be perfected over a long period of time.
